The problem with those numbers though is that the accounts are not identified. How many of those who were trading three years ago are still trading today? I'm pretty sure plenty of people crashed and burned in the meantime and they don't show up in those statistics. If we were to look at overall profitability and survival in the market over a longer period of time I'm willing to bet we would get much closer to the famous 5% winners 95% losers.

I am very curious about the 36,7% winning traders in the market...

There are strong leaks in this figures. I would say that the traders population is "more pro" than poker players population.

And I'm pretty sure that people who are really broke and won't come again in trading is not considered. That is a real statistic bias (survival bias).
